Information We Collect

• Menu photos and imported images that you choose to submit for analysis.
• Text recognized from those images on your device, if available.
• Preference settings such as dietary preferences, allergies or dislikes, health goals, adventurousness, spice tolerance, and extra taste-profile answers.
• Recommendation outputs generated for you, including dish recommendations, follow-up chat messages, and optional AI-generated dish preview images.
• Local app data stored on your device, such as saved history, settings, and generated assets.
• Limited technical and operational information needed to operate the service, such as request timestamps and infrastructure error data.
• Information you choose to include when you contact support.

How We Collect Information

• Directly from you when you submit menu photos, adjust settings, continue a recommendation chat, or contact support.
• From your device when the app stores settings, history, and generated assets locally.
• From app processing, such as text recognized from menu photos and recommendation outputs derived from your request.

How We Use Information

• Analyze menu photos and generate menu recommendations.
• Personalize recommendations using the preferences and taste-profile details you provide.
• Generate follow-up chat responses and optional dish preview images.
• Store history and preferences locally on your device when enabled.
• Maintain, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the reliability of the app and hosted backend.
• Investigate abuse, enforce our terms, and comply with legal obligations.
• Respond to support requests and privacy inquiries.

How We Share Information

We do not sell personal information and we do not use third-party advertising SDKs or cross-app tracking in the app.

We may share information with service providers that help us operate OrderThis on our behalf, including:

• hosting and edge infrastructure providers;
• AI model and image-generation providers used to process your request;
• email or support tools used to handle support requests, if introduced.

We may also disclose information if reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights or safety, or investigate fraud, abuse, or security issues.

Data Retention

• Saved history, settings, and generated assets are primarily stored locally on your device until you delete them, reset the app, or remove the app.
• We do not intend to maintain a long-term server-side archive of submitted menu photos, OCR text, taste-profile payloads, or recommendation chats beyond what is reasonably necessary to operate, secure, troubleshoot, and support the service.
• Service providers may retain temporary logs or records under their own retention policies for security, abuse prevention, billing, and reliability purposes.
• Support emails and related correspondence may be retained as needed to respond to your request, keep records of support interactions, and comply with legal obligations.

Your Choices

• Clear saved recommendation history in the app.
• Reset your preferences in the app.
• Disable saved history if you do not want recommendations stored locally on your device.
• Contact us to ask privacy questions or request deletion of support-related information we control.

Children's Privacy

OrderThis is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact support@orderthisapp.com.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures intended to protect information processed by OrderThis. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

International Processing

Depending on the services used to operate OrderThis, information may be processed in countries other than your own.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the date at the top of this document and may provide additional notice when appropriate.
